Rose Swirl Cake

I love to try new cake decorating techniques, and lately I have been noticing a lot of cakes decorated with a rose swirl design. Of course I figured it was time to try it for myself. I watched a few tutorials on Youtube and this one was my favorite. Be sure to check it out!

I used chocolate butter cream frosting on a chocolate cake. At first my frosting was too thick and that made it really hard to work with and it didn’t want to stick to the cake. After taking all of the frosting out of the tube, and making it thinner, it was much easier to use. It went on pretty well after that.

Below are a few pictures. It isn’t perfect, but it was so much fun! I will for sure use this technique again in the future. Great for a cake that needs to be made quickly. All my oficial cake tasters enjoyed it also!
