The dictionary tells us that endeavor is “A conscientious or concerted effort toward an end; an earnest attempt.” If I had to describe myself in one word it would probably be “endeavors”.
As that saying goes I am “Jack of all trades, master of none”. But, I do endeavor.
My latest endeavor is to write this blog and maybe, just maybe write down some of the crazy thoughts and ideas I’ve had stored up in my brain cavity all these years. All the stuff that comes up as I endeavor to be a good mom, wife, daughter, friend, etc.
I also endeavor to be a baker and cook. I love to experiment so I make up a lot of stuff. My poor kids endeavor to eat it. Most of the time they say it’s successful. So I hope to share some of these creations with you.
At the moment I am also endeavoring to get a better Cottage Food Law Bill passed in Minnesota. Tackling the politics of this is a good endeavor and one that I pray will be successful as it will be very beneficial to many households in today’s economy.
I’m excited to start this new endeavor. I just hope I will do it justice. I hope you all will let me know what you think along the way. I look forward to hearing from you.
The year is now 2017. It is a cold gloomy day in October. It suddenly occurred to me today that I have not updated this page since the day I wrote it 5 1/2 years ago. Since that time I have had a lot of fun sharing my thoughts, creations and recipes with you all.
In July 2015 the Cottage Food Law bill that I had been working to amend came into effect and Minnesota home bakers can now sell their baked goods, pickles and breads from home, as well as in farmer’s markets and other vendor events. It has been so exciting and a blessing to watch as little home businesses have become more successful each year.
I really thank you for being a part of my endeavors and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!
